Late Night Update! (Note: Lateness of Update is Relative Depending on Global Position)

We're currently testing out a new layout that both emphasizes the informational links and showcases the main cast of the series, since the last one was more difficult to work with in terms of customization. If you strongly preferred the old one, have difficulty reading the new one, want a different color scheme, or want a different layout entirely, please let me know! Any comments are appreciated, even if they're just "Blargh, this hurts my eyes!"



1) The positioning of the main content and "header" have been fixed so that the entries won't slide behind the header in smaller resolutions. (lavender88, boukenrider)

2) The font size and type for entries has been changed for ease of reading. (buddha_loves_me)

3) The userpics have been repositioned. Earlier, they didn't line up with the entries very well.

4) New tiny icons from Homepage Garo have been uploaded!

And here is a list of changes that should be considered:

1) Making a customized navigation strip for the comm, as the default overlaps with the layout too much. (yume_mi)

2) Making a custom mood theme. (Who likes making mood themes? Does anyone like making mood themes?)

i doubt other series' communities have such love poured into their layout, this one looks gorgeous! only problem for me is when i pull the window smaller, and the entry text overlaps with the fixed sidebar?? then again, that always happen with a fixed sidebar and i've learnt not to do it so i don't think it's much of a difference anyway.

Thank you! The funny thing is, the only fixed element in the layout was the header, which was turned into a pseudo-sidebar. I tried to fix the problem by making the main content "fixed" rather than "floating," but I still need to enable scrolling for the entries.

I think the layout looks good, but I'm using a netbook so my resolution's probably smaller than most users' and this is how it looks like to me u_u cries

It should be fixed now! (It's hard to make community layouts on my desktop replacement, since its resolution is so much larger than everyone else's, let alone those of netbook users. I'm sorry!) You should see a horizontal scroll bar now -- does that work well for you?

I think that's more of a problem on your end -- the LJ navigation strip should be disabled for this comm, so I'm not sure why you can see it at all! Would you mind disabling the strip just for the comm page, or would you like me to try and fix the layout to accommodate it?

I disabled the strip and it looks perfect but can you please try and customize the layout for the strip? For me, it's hard to navigate LJ without the strip. ^^;;

It's super pretty! I love the colors and the pics you used for the sidebars.

I guess my only problem is that I wished the entries were a little bigger? The font is a little hard for me to read, but I fully admit this may just be to my own stupid eyesight.

If you have the time for it, that would be great! :D The pictures would probably have to be a little narrower than the Syaoran one, but that would ultimately be up to you.

Yeah, definitely! I might wait around a bit for raw scans of volume 2, just so I can have more good quality pictures to pick from o3o

How much narrower? I'll make the width twice the height (it's easier to crop, I can just set it on Photoshop), but the height doesn't need to be the exact same.

If the height of the Syaoran icons is 80 px, then I think 60 px would be better for the comm, since we have tiny icons next to the mood theme images.
