Welcome to the Gate 7 fan comm \o/ I fell in love with this manga in about five seconds, and I felt it deserved its own comm.

SO. While we wait around for Japanese scans and proper translations... First impressions! What did you guys think of the chapter?

I'm still too overwhelmed by the pretty art to say anything coherent about it, but I really loved this chapter. I can't wait for the actual serialization to start now, I want to know more about those characters!

Who can blame you? It's like a mix of the latest X, TRC and Kobato styles all mixed together. With a bit of Chobits there, too... And I adore how it's balanced out, how it has those incredibly gorgeous and detailed pictures but also silly chibis and dynamic panels... Just. Guh. It's amazing. It's got to be the most amazing artwork I've seen from them.

Yup, exactly. It's like they took the best from several of their older art styles and made a new one or something. I love how they draw the eyes. Also, Hana is adorable, and so... fierce, haha. Those fighting scenes are amazing.

Yes, that's a long time. I'm so glad that it finally starts though, it's been ages since we first started hearing about it.

I'm in shock that there are screentones! And a kiss! Since kisses are really uncommon for CLAMP, haha~ (Though I didn't notice really until it was pointed out in France at a fan meeting type-thing...last spring or something. xP)

I feel that the guys in CLAMP have matured since Kobato. I think I like the darker hair taller guy (kind of feels like Syaoran in Tsubasa).

I lost interest in xxxHOLiC and Kobato a long time ago, so it's wonderful to have a new CLAMP work to look forward to. The first chapter definitely did not disappoint and already it's broken some Fundamental CLAMPisms (KISS OMG WHAT) and I'm super excited to see where they take it from here.

And the art is seriously so gorgeous and amazing, omg. Must icon immediately.

I didn't, but it's great to see so many people reacting positively to something CLAMP made, for a change. And with artwork as gorgeous as this and so many people liking the series already, it could very easily rekindle the fandom's artists and writers' inspiration. It's a really great feeling.

And I agree on the rule breaking, I can't wait to see what they'll do with it.

I LOVE IT. The art is gorgeous, and I loved the imagery of when Hana and the gang first showed up in the tree~ Also, total spaz main character FTW. TT~TT I miss Watanuki's craziness, and this main character reminds me of him back in the day~ Also, Hana is super pretty and also BADASS. Tachibana and Sakura make me happy, too. In fact, I love all the characters so far xD I see some happy fandoming coming up. o_o; There's even contests, already;;; xD Can't wait until there's fanfiction, lol! Overall, I'm just stoked that I'll be able to follow a Clamp series from start to finish for the first time. It looks like there's a nice fanbase already, too.
